Healthy recipe... Vegetarian "Meat"Loaf Muffins

I was looking for a high-protein grab and go kind of meal and came across a couple vegetarian "meat"loaf recipes. I combined the two taking out things I didn't like and adding things I did. This is what I came up with:

Todays lunch on top of baby spinach and arugula!

Vegetarian “Meat”Loaf Muffins

Makes approx. 19-20 meatloaf muffins

*** NOTE on vegetable – You can buy them pre-chopped in a container at the grocery store. Usually the onion, celery & carrot are together.

INGREDIENTS

· 6 cups vegetable stock

· 1 teaspoon salt

· 2 ½ cups green lentils

· 1 small onion, diced

· 2 carrots, diced

· 2 celery stalks, diced

· 8 ounces crimini mushrooms, diced

· 2 cups brown rice, cooked

· 5 egg whites

· 8 ounces tomato sauce

· 2 teaspoons garlic powder

· 2 teaspoon basil (dried or fresh)

· 2 teaspoon parsley (dried or fresh)

· 1 teaspoon seasoning salt

· ½ teaspoon black pepper

· 1 teaspoon dried chipotle pepper powder

DIRECTIONS

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Bring vegetable stock to a boil, add green lentils and cook until done according to package.

3. Drain and partially mash lentils.

4. Stir in onion, carrots, celery, mushrooms and brown rice.

5. Add egg, tomato sauce, garlic, basil, parsley, seasoning salt, pepper and chipotle pepper.

6. Mix well.

7. Spray two muffin tin trays with non-stick cooking spray. Fill them with meatloaf mix just below the top edge of the tin.

8. Bake for 15 minutes, turn pan, bake for another 10-15 minutes.

9. Remove and cool in pan for about 10 minutes.

10. Run a sharp knife around each meatloaf muffin and gently remove.

Getting' myself back into shape...

Not that I was really out of shape, I'm toning my business up! A lot of people think I'm skinny... but skinny isn't good and I'm actually not. :) I'm back hitting the gym again and I loooooooooove it! I wanna get back to this:

This was me a few years ago!
Weight training & cardio 5-6 days a week.

I wasn't really eating a clean diet then. I ate almost what I wanted, but I was still a vegetarian. I'm back to the gym 5-6 times a week, weights & cardio each day. I'll share my routine tomorrow maybe. I've been really trying to do some "clean eating". Which is basically fresh foods free of bad fats, man-made sugars and processed foods.

I randomly sprayed Shimmerz Vibez (Sunset Strip, Before Dawn, Jeni Bleu) on wax paper. Dabbed my piece of bubble wrap in it then pressed it on my paper. I continued to do that until I covered my paper.

Disposable Coffee Cup Twine Dispenser

Supplies:

Disposable travel coffee cup (mine had two layers to it)
1 – sheet patterned paper
1 – sheet cardstock
Paper piercer
Adhesive
Pen
Scissors
Embellishments

1. Peel off the outer layer of the coffee cup to use as your stencil. Lay your stencil out on your patterned paper of choice and trace. Next, cut it out and adhere to the outside of your cup.

2. Turn your lid upside down and trace the inner edge onto your cardstock and cut it out. Adhere it to the top of the lid.

3. With your paper piercer, pierced holes around the edge of the lid (for your twine to pull through). I have marked mine with a white pen to show you.

4. Decorate with your chosen embellishments and feed the ends of your twine through the holes you’ve created. Place the lid back on and voila, you’re done!

Brandon and I went on this awesome bike ride in March of 2010. We drove to Boulder City, rented some bikes and road the Railroad Pass trail to the Hoover Dam. I crashed just before we hit the end. AND I laughed at myself. Ha!

I'm just sayin'! HEAVEN in a cup!!! ♥♥♥ I am trying to cut back on my caffeine/coffee intake a the moment. While the coffee we drink at home is ONLY 1/2 caff coffee is still very acidic which as everyone should be aware highly acidic foods/drinks we intake can and are known to be a cause of many diseases or at least it helps them along. Anywho, I want to cut mine back. I LOVE the taste of coffee but don't really benefit from caffeine in any way. I don't get the energy jolt from it. I found this...

Teeccino!

It smells terrible (to me) but oh man, brew that puppy and it is sooooooooo delightful! The one above is the flavor I purchased at Whole Foods. You can buy them online at Teeccino or use their product locator to find it being sold close to you. I bought their sampler pack and I'm waiting for that to come in the mail. It's made from:

Right now I'm mixing 1/2 coffee (my 1/2 caff) and 1/2 the Teeccino when I brew it. It has recommendations on how to brew if you're trying to ween yourself off of caffeine. :) It's also gluten free if that's a concern for anyone. Afterall... I'm after Optimal Health!

With all this talk about CHA and scrapbooking I'm gettin' the itch! I was going through one of my external harddrives trying to organize some photos and I came across my photos from when I was on Scrapbook LifeStyle. Remember that show? OMGosh it was so much fun! I sure miss the girls! It reminded me of Memory Trends 2006 when I ran into Angela Daniels and ended up having an interview with Amelia when I got home to be on the show. Anyway, here's a little jaunt down memory lane of Memory Trends 2006 and CHA 2007...

If you love peanut butter cups you just HAVE to make these... The Kind Lifer Peanut Butter Cups. There really is nothing like them and they are so much better than Reese's PB Cups! And oh yes... they are VEGAN! You won't believe it when you down one, or two, or maybe three of these suckers. Take it from someone who is a die hard fan of anything peanut butter, let alone peanut butter and chocolate. :) I like to keep mine in the freezer and then when I want one I take it out for just a few minutes before I devour it. They are normally a little soft, so the freezer helps harden them up. I buy my goods at Whole Foods because I know I can find the organic graham crackers and I buy the maple sugar granules too!

MAKES 12

INGREDIENTS
1⁄2 cup Earth Balance butter
3⁄4 cup crunchy peanut butter - (preferably unsweetened and unsalted)
3⁄4 cup graham cracker crumbs or 10 graham cracker squares
1⁄4 cup maple sugar or other granulated sweetener
1 cup grain-sweetened, nondairy chocolate or carob chips
1⁄4 cup soy, rice, or nut milk
1⁄4 cup chopped pecans, almonds, or peanuts

STEPS
Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners. (If You Care makes unbleached liners made from recycled paper.)
Set aside.
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Stir in the peanut butter, graham cracker crumbs, and maple sugar and mix well. Remove the mixture from the heat.
Evenly divide the mixture, approximately 2 tablespoons per cup, among the muffin cups.
Combine the chocolate and milk in another pan.
Stir over medium heat until the chocolate has melted.
Spoon the chocolate evenly over the peanut butter mixture.
Top with chopped nuts.
Place in the refrigerator to set for at least 2 hours before serving.

Here's a little somethin' I worked on today. Since I no longer have scrap supplies all you scrappers might cringe at the fact that I used a hot glue gun and Elmers craft glue. LOL But wth, I like it! I did happen to have ONE piece of patterned paper to use on it.

I used some felt goodness from my Etsy shop {heart, button & cloud}. The red hearts I made from polymer clay and the cute buttons are from Tessa Anns Etsy shop. As most of you know my hubby works out of town and he just left for 6 1/2 weeks so I needed a little somethin' to put next to my computer so I could see his cute mug. :)

Q's about my hair lately...

So I have had some questions about my hair lately and what I use in it as far as products so here's a riveting post just about my hair! Bwahahahaha

My hair is thick and I have a lot of it, but it's not really course. I just posted to someone else what I use, here ya go:

I have used their shampoo and conditioner:

But am currently using:

Here's my steps...
1. Shampoo and conditioner
2. Towel dry, just a tad. I don't like it to get too dry. Then I comb it out with a wide toothed comb.
3. I spray in the spiral spray gel and scrunch with my hands.
4. Spray in just a touch of the reactivator while hanging my head upside down. LOL
5. Put the Big Sexy hair stuff in (a couple nickel sized drops).
6. Then blow dry with a diffuser hanging upside down on low and scrunching with my hands.

Name Change...
Well as much as I was "Zoe Jane" to be my name... husband had a hissy. But that doesn't mean this is over. LOL Have you ever looked to see what your name means? Look here!

You like you some oatmeal?...
I LOVE oatmeal, love love love it! I prefer it to have a little texture and not so mushy, but I came across an overnight crockpot oatmeal recipe last night and thought I would give it a shot. This morning I walked downstairs to fresh brewed coffee and yummy pipin' hot oatmeal. It was actually really good, but a bit on the mushy side. It has apples and cinnamon in it! YUM!

My darn nose...
Ok, check this out. So I want to get my nose pierced and thought I would glue a little bling to my nostril and see how it looked. What do you think? I want one smaller than that though. You know the kind where you really have to take a double look to see if it's really there.

Ahhhhh another day...

So what's in store for Wendy today? Let's run down the list:

Run to grocery store (quick pick up)
Change out of pajamas (oh yeah, ok, this should be #1)
Start (sorry, I would share the recipe, but it's an ancient chinese secret) baking chocolate chip cookies
Round 2 of baking... start baking blueberry muffins
By this time no doubt I will have to pick Shon up from school
Bust some butt on the bags that are nearly finished so I can get them up in my shop. Ahhhhh there's some way cute new designs on the bags. I can't wait to share.
Dinner... tonight is probably going to be Baked Ziti which ummm... yeah not so great for me working out but I have a bit of a fondness for mozzarella and pasta! (I changed up that recipe a tad.)
7:00p off to the gym. Hubby joined last night and they are giving him his little tour tonight so we have to go a wee big later. :( Crap!

Probably not but you can scroll past this part if you really care less about me getting fit, which you probably should care cause I think if you are reading this that means you might like me and if you like me then you want me to be healthier and in shape. Am I Right? bwahahahahahaha
Ok fine whatever so the site only has the eliptical and treadmills on there so if you are so inclined you can see them here... Precor. The treadmills have their own T.V.'s. Sweet!

Sorry Blogger... but you and I can't be friends. Can I say how much I dislike Blogger? Grrrrrrr! Seriously tempted to move on to another host. My last blog was on Typepad and I miss it badly. Lot's of little Blogger things I don't like. Hmmmmmm... CRAP!

Oh and yes, I am "VERY" serious about changing my name. I really have wanted to do it for so long. Eak! It's a big step. Kinda wierd huh? My Mom changed her name though and she survived. Wanna know what my husband said? First he said I was crazy, then he said... Well you get to sit at the social security office on your own then. LOL He had to go get Shons replacement SS card and it took 6 hours! LOL Ok, I know I shouldn't laugh, but it's funny.... right?

Happy President's Day!

I did pretty much nothing over the weekend. Isn't that sad? I did the gym and that's about it. Today consisted of getting up, rolling on downstairs and hangin' on the couch watching my cooking shows, then I hit the gym, grocery shopping, home to feel so pooped, nap on the couch, dinner and back on the couch with my puter on wireless net to say "HEY" to you all!

So let's see...
Today was day 5 at the gym. I seriously busted it out. I didn't do as much cardio as I have but I did some extra weight machines. Is it weird that I already see a difference? Especially in my legs and butt. Although, pulling my jeans on today was a feat in itself! Seriously... I am trying to get in shape not buy bigger jeans. PLUS the fact that my arms are so sore I could barely pull them on just from that. Ha ha ha! Remember when I said... booty has got to start rising towards the days sun... well I think it actually is! After only 5 days of working out it's getting there. I am so excited! I took measurements the other day so I could keep track and have decided to only do them once a month. The weight I am not worried about because muscle weighs more than fat, so I am not going to sweat that.

Snaps... I had a little eye candy at the gym again today. Not one of the trainers, but a fireman! (trust me, you WANT to click on the fireman link!) Yum-O! Man, there is something about them.

Oh and I just wanted to add.. can someone tell me WHY when I bend over to blow dry my hair my stomach looks like a Sharpei dog staring back at me? Cruel cruel joke!

On another note... my hubby hooked my wireless internet back up. THANK YOU! I was getting bummed I couldn't check in on things very easily from my craft room because my computer was downstairs. Now I can go anywhere! Whoot whoot!

What are you all doing today?
My plans... finish a necklace for a customer, start a special request bag for a customer and hopefully bust out some new ones to post tonight or tomorrow. I need to sell sell sell! It's hard going from working and making extra moola to not making the moola. Shucks! We also plan on taking some pictures today. I really need some to scrapbook in a bad way. That will be great to actually scrap again. I sooooooo love being creative!

And... my name... been thinking..
About changing my name. Yeah I know! I have always disliked it for many reasons. Here's a few I have in mind:

and that's it. LOL I can't think of any other ones off the top of my head. But my family (husband and son) think I am whacked but hey... it's my name and if i want to do it I can. Right?

Now, on to the new desk...
I just happened to be checking out the tables and desks at Pottery Barn online and I said, oh I love this desk. Mike said... "oh what does it look like?" I showed him and he's gonna build one for me! :) Yupper... so I need to figure out my dimensions and then we can hit Lowe's for the building supplies. Weeeeeeeee I can't wait! It's this desk...

I went to workout last night, my Mom couldn't go because she was out playing darts on a league. So my husband came with me as a guest. I had a goal in mind, I was going to warm up on the stair machine thingy... hit the weights (oh and I did), then the treadmill. Wanna know how it went down?That's me this morning saying "Aïe, ma poitrine ma poitrine. Ces condamner pèse m'a tué !"
Translates to "Ouch, my chest my chest. Those damn weights killed me!"

Yup, I did a quick little warm-up on that stair machine. Only 2 minutes, but man I busted it out in those two min. Then I went on to the weights just like the hotty trainer (oy, Bob Harper is freakin' HOT!) taught us. My husband kept trying to talk to me and I kept saying.... Shhhhh, I can't hear you I am busy and listening to my iPod. Yeah I turn that puppy up loud when I am there. It helps me stay focused. Love it! I think I need to create a "Bust it out" playlist on my iPod just for the gym. :) I made it through all the weights even though I had to clinch my teeth a few times. Who the heck do I think I am? She-Ra? I mean seriously, the first 2 sets were no prob. I hit the 3rd set and *BAM* Aïe la Maman (ouch mommy)! But I made it, I made it.

So off to the treadmill. Yeah baby, I rocked it! I did 2.1 miles (doesn't sound like much but I was poopered) starting at an incline of 1.5 and fast walk of 4mph. I did that for about 15 min. Then bumped it up to a run for 2 min, then walked again, then ran again, then walked again, then for the last 1/10th of a mile I set it at 6.5mph and ran like the wind! Whew... I was tired! Did a little warm down on slow and I was done... cooked... finite! So this morning, I am one sore puppy! Not really everywhere, just in my chest from doing the free weight presses. Snaps! But it sure feels good!

Do you think I can move my tanning addiction over to working out? Bwahahahaha, heck no, who do you think I am? LOL

Whoot whoot... can y'all give me a "HEEEEEYYYY"?...
Yup, we did it. Day two! My Mom and I hit the gym again. This time we met with one of the "eye candy" (ok, so that link isn't male eye candy, but it freakin' cracked me up!) trainers to give us a bit of and overview of the equipment. OMGoodness ladies, get your heads out of the gutter. I said "the" equipment, not "his" equipment! LOL We started out on the stair machine for a quick two minute speedy warm-up. (ummmm... yeah, I busted out a few beads of sweat.) From there we hit the big ball, you know those big round inflatable balls? We did some crunches and I have to say I mastered the balance (yeah ok, so I didn't balance on it like that, just sitting, lol.) pretty quick. That rocked!

Then legs... legs baby! Oh and butt, yeah the machine we used works the booty! That's the one I want to use. My cheeks need to start smiling, not frowning!!! I am saying (or shall I say, I will whisper this to my booty everyday)... booty... point due north! I can't wait to get back on that sucker today. Oh oh oh... and while I was on this machine the trainer says to me "So how old are you?" I said "How old do you think I am, you are like a 2 year old baby!" He says " (laugh) Ummmm well I figure you are probably about my age, 26!" I said " (bwahahahahahaha) Ummmm no, I am 33! Yeah 33!!!" He said "No way, you don't look like it. You look so young." At that point, do you think it would have been awkward had I jumped him? LOL Yeah, probably with my Mom right there. HA HA HA

From there we headed to free weights. He gave me 12.5 pds. Ummmmm who the heck do I look like? Wonder Woman? I don't think so. But I took it, I took it like a woman! I busted out some bench presses and something else. What the heck are those called? You stand with your feet together, bend over a tad (and pray no one is staring at your ass!) and while holding the weights you raise them up with your elbows bent at a 90 degree angle. Well whatever they are, we did those. The tricep machine was next. So easy. Not much to talk about there. Oh next was the lats! This I love too. The lat machine is gonna make my back look all hot and sexy. LOL So that's what he tells me anyway. Ok ok, gosh, he didn't really say exactly that.

That was about it with the trainer. So my Mom and I hit the stair machine and treadmill. It feels so good to workout again! I love the gym, is that possible? I say SO!

Scrap Happy Kt...
So have any of you been to Scrap Happy Kt's site? I was asked recently to join the design team there. YAY! But anywho... the site is getting totally revamped. I was chattin' with Katie (owner) the other day about it and OMG you won't believe how it's gonna look. She's got some famed scrapbook product designers working on elements for the site. So I decided since I was gettin' all bronz-ay for summer I should hit the gym.

Let me just start out with the tanning. Yes, I know it's not good for you (really) but I think I have become addicted! SERIOUSLY addicted! I mean, I was getting close to having to attend TA (no that's not what you think it is, lol), Tanners Anonymous. It's just that I am cold all the time and the weather has been cold here and it feels so warm and good! I go in the bed (Ultrabronze) that cuts out 99% of the UVB rays, so that's good. 24 minutes of pure heaven each time! I have no idea how much time I have spent in there, but maybe I will ask today. I was going EVERY single DAY for a while and then decided I better just cut back. LOL So now I am going every other day. Baby steps, right?

Now on to the gym! I don't really need to lose weight, BUT I seriously need some toning. I mean my chicken wing flaps really need a tone up and my booty has got to start rising towards the days sun or my tramp stamp tat is gonna fall in my crack! Bleh!

So my Mom and I joined the Anytime Fitness gym that's just down the street from me. We went and signed up on Monday and yesterday was our first day. We were suppose to meet there at 6p. I called my Mom a hundred times on her cel and she didn't answer, so I headed to her house. She proceeds to tell me she is too tired and doesn't want to go. EXCUSE ME, hello! This is our first day and you are backing out? I don't think so! I convinced her to go and she piled into my car.

We hit the treadmill first (I brought my iPod, thank you Leslie for talking me into buying it!) and we started cruising! I walked 2 miles at 4mph on the 2.5 level (hilly sort of, lol). I was breakin' a wee bit of a sweat, I am not gonna lie! My Mom ditched her treadmill at about 1-mile then walked around the gym checking things out. When I got done on my treadmill she was on the stair machine. So I hopped on board the one with the arm thingies. I LOVE THIS MACHINE!!! I was bookin' it man! I did 2.5 miles on level 5 resistance so that made about 3500 steps. I just kept telling myself.... keep going biotch, keep going!!!

About half way through my stairmachine workout my Mom decided she shouldn't just sit there so she hit the treadmill again. YAY MOM! She recently lost 45 pounds and needs to start working out. I am going to have to keep on her about this because she HATES to work out even though she used to be a body builder. We finished up and chatted with one of the trainers there. He's going to give us the little orientation tonight. Can I just tell you.... they have 4 male trainers there.... and..... yeah see, I don't even have to say a word! LOL Do you think it would be odd if I asked to take all their pictures? OMG, yummy!!!!!

Maybe tomorrow I will post a little gym update again cause I know it's riveting and you guys want to know about it. :)

LOL, which works for me cause I am the older sister, but I haven't the heart to tell my Sister what it really says. LOL

Ahhhhhhhhhh the cute owl bag sold!!! The owner of the new bag is on a jet plane coming back from CHA and couldn't purchase it through my shop so I took it down for her and we are taking care of business when she gets home.
But never fear, I am creating more... like a girlie owl, here's a little peek!Isn't she super cute?

I will be posting some new bags in my Etsy Shop later today/tonight. I received some crazy awesome news yesterday from Kimberly (she purchased one of my bags to use at CHA) about some people at the CHA Trade Show raving about my bag and wanting one. One of which was Stacy Julian! Kimberly was so excited she called me. THANKS girlie!!! Very cool!

Do you use Bloglines?

If not, I highly recommend it! Total time saver. Well if you have a lot of blogs bookmarked it is a tad time consuming entering them all for your blogline, BUT in the end... it's incredible!

12 easy steps... Here's how it works...
1. You create yourself an account (easy)
2. Log-in (easy)
3. Click "Add" in the upper left corner of your Bloglines page (easy)
4. Open a new web page and go to your blogs bookmarks pick one to add (easy)
5. Copy and paste the link into the "Blog or URL feed" subscribe bar (easy)
6. Click "subscribe" (easy)
Then you will come up with this...7. See where I circled in grey... it says "rss" at the end, click in the box for that one (easy)
8. Click subscribe at the bottom of that screen (easy)
9. Then you will see it show up in your list on the left of your Bloglines page. Now, if you want to edit the title of that blog (I change all mine to the persons name) you just click on that blog in your list, go to the upper right of that screen and click "edit subscription. From there a box will pop up, just change the name and then click submit. (easy)
10. Then just mosey on down your bookmarked blogs until they are all done.
(ehhh, easy, just TIME CONSUMING!) lol
11. You'll then notice a life changing experience for the good! Every time you go to your Bloglines page you will see all the blogs that have been updated are in BOLD in your list! Yeah baby... no more searching every single blog in your bookmarks to see who has updated. (ahhhh, you'll have a life again and gain about 2 hours back to your day)
12. Final thing to do... add MY BLOG! :) (ultra easy)

A little bit about Sweet Me Designs...

Sweet Me Designs was born on a thought I
had while folding laundry. I am a self-taught
crafter and have taught myself how to sew,
quilt, knit and any other craft I might pick
up in the future. I had been on a search for
a career, something I loved to do and that
meant a lot to me. Something I could totally
enjoy doing for a very long time and used
my skills well.

Sweet Me Designs was a name I came up with
for some t-shirt designs I had created. It was
perfect for my bags! I have had such
tremendous support from friends and family
and I would like to thank all of you! Without
support like I have, Sweet Me Designs would
have been nothing but a dream.

My sister was here...

I miss her already!!! She came as a surprise for my Moms birthday and brought my 6-year old nephew Ty. I picked her up at the airport on Thursday morning and we went over to where my mom works. I had the receptionist call her and say that someone hit her car and she needs to go outside. I stayed in my car while my sister and nephew waited by my moms car with a poster board sign that said:

"Happy late Birthday"

My mom came storming at the door and didn't really recognize that it was my sister because the sun was in her eyes.

Then she said.... Denise.... DENISE????

It was great, she was so shocked she couldn't even move. She just stood there in the middle of the parking lot and my sister had to go up to her and hug her.

3 1/2 days later they left to go back home. :( Today!!! I miss her a lot! A LOT! We didn't get any pictures taken. Not even one. :(

Still working on my bags. I didn't touch them while she was here. That was precious little time I needed to spend with her. Tomorrow... back on the bags!

That Shon is old enough to drive? Yesterday was the day.... a mere hour at the DMV and Shon now has his drivers permit.

I am starting up a blog again. Not likely to do a lot of posting on it, but will do my best. The last 8 months I have spent trucking Shon around to all his cross country practices and meets, working (a temp job), falling in love with my co-workers along with taking care of things around the house. I have decided it's about time I start up my "Sweet Me Designs" business. Also a wee bit about where I am with my scrapping. So let's start at the beginning...

I need to start by saying, "I am sorry"... sorry to all my friends I have lost touch with. All my friends I have neglected. Everything in my life that I put on the back burner! As organized and Martha Stewart Jr. I am I just can never seem to hold up my life in that fashion. Crafts and cleanliness = yes, life = no. I have always been that way! I can't manage being addicted to more that one craft thing either. I don't know what's wrong with me! I DON'T, but I wish I did. I miss all of you and YOU are part of my plan for the New Year. I am going to make a better effort in trying to manage my time, manage my life. So here's to a New Year!!!

Cross-country... I have to say we are so proud of Shon! He has always been anything but athletic and a total gamer but he really has come out of his shell and proved that he will give things a shot even when he is faced with starting it alone. He started practices in June 2007 (gosh it's been that long?). CRAZY!
This is a shot from the beginning of his practices. He has come a LONG way it's just amazing! He's shaved some serious time off of his mile and is actually gaining a bit of muscle. But of course he is still skinny as all heck! LOL His final race with the team was at the end of October in Walnut California. He didn't medal, but he sure did a fantastic job! Never would he have thought he could have completed a course like that one. The next day we all went to Venice Beach. That's an experience in itself!!!

It's the largest cross-country race in the world! Over 20,000 runners with races starting every 8 minutes over 3 days. Just amazing!!! Shon took a break for a wee bit after the season and has starting running club with his coach. YAY Shon! On another note... Santa brought Shon a guitar for Christmas this year so he has been learning on that. :)

Just a temporary job... In May I started a temporary position for a point-of-sale company. It was meant to last a mere couple weeks but I ended up staying for 8 months. It was amazing! The experience (I worked in the human resources office), the people, just the work in general. It was really right up my alley. But alas, the company was purchased in June and they have been cutting people right and left. I was lucky to have stayed as long as I did being that I was a temp. I'll sure miss everyone! On a lighter note they are having a "Fired" party for me, LOL:
Starting up again... I am starting up my business again that I have put on hold. My Sweet Me Designs handbags along with some other goodies. I have decided to test my craftiness and see what I can do. As long as I can pull that off you can expect to see something else added to my store. I have also decided to close my web-site for the time being and just post my products at Etsy.com. It's more convenient to update for me right now while I am trying to get things rolling again. I have new bag designs too! Yay! Oh boy, scrapping... Eak! All my poor scrapping goods! I haven't scrapped in... well... I am not even going to say BUT I am trying to get back up on that horse again too. I miss it, but not as much as I thought I would. Maybe I have burned myself out... maybe it's because I haven't taken much for pictures... maybe I lost my design bug. However I plan on getting into that again. I have to for my design teams!!! So I have decided to pick a day this week and get on my computer and just print pictures. A LOT of pictures in all difference sizes. That way when I have a moment I can just sit down and grab one and go for it. No thinking about print sizes. I just plan on using the ones I print and testing myself. I have a feeling my style has changed a wee bit but only time and a few layouts will tell! LOL

It's a new year and a new day...
